Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies alcaziurobert.ro uses, why, and how you can control them. It complements the Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly — read that page for details on data recipients, retention periods, and your GDPR rights.

2. What are cookies

A cookie is a small file saved on your device when you visit a website. It lets the site remember your settings and preferences on your next visit, so you get a better browsing experience. Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your device.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the site to function — for example remembering your language and your cookie preference itself. They don't require consent and can't be turned off from the preference center, but you can block them from your browser settings, at the cost of some site features not working.

4. Performance cookies

With your consent, I use Google Analytics to measure visits and traffic sources, understand which pages are most useful, and improve the site over time. Data collected this way is aggregated and used for statistics, not to identify you individually. These cookies only load after you accept the "Performance" category in the cookie banner.

5. Marketing and targeting cookies

This category covers advertising cookies. One partner is active: the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), which sets the _fbp cookie — valid for up to 3 months — to measure which ads bring visitors and conversions and to build campaign audiences. The pixel has Automatic Advanced Matching enabled, so the details you enter in the contact form (name, email, phone) are SHA-256 hashed in the browser and sent to Meta in that form, for conversion matching. All of it loads only after you accept this category; if you decline or withdraw consent, nothing is sent to Meta.

6. Third-party partners

Two third-party providers can set cookies here. Google Analytics (performance category) sets _ga and _ga_<container-id> — see Google's Privacy Policy. The Meta Pixel (marketing category) sets _fbp, valid for up to 3 months, and is used to measure and target Facebook/Instagram ad campaigns — see Meta's Cookie Policy. Both load only after you accept the matching category.

7. How long cookies are kept

Google Analytics cookies are typically kept for up to 13 months. Your cookie consent choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage and applies until you change it, clear your browser data, or a future update to this policy requires asking again.

8. Manage or withdraw your consent

You can change your cookie preferences at any time — from this page, or from the "Manage cookie preferences" link in the site footer. You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings, though this may affect how the site works.

9. Contact

For any question about this Cookie Policy, write to contact@alcaziurobert.ro.
